Streaming & Sales Surges Post-GRAMMYs
The 2025 GRAMMYs were filled with unforgettable performances, groundbreaking wins, and historic moments. According to Luminate, many winners saw significant increases in streaming, sales, and chart placements following the event.
Beyoncé celebrated her first Album of the Year win and saw the night’s biggest album boost. COWBOY CARTER—which also won Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (for her Miley Cyrus collaboration, II MOST WANTED)—earned 25,000 equivalent album units, marking a 254% increase in consumption.
Doechii made history as the third woman to win Best Rap Album with Alligator Bites Never Heal. The album earned 31,000 equivalent album units, up 107%, and achieved its highest placement on the Billboard 200 at No. 14.
Kendrick Lamar, the night’s biggest winner, took home five GRAMMYs, including his first-ever Record of the Year and Song of the Year wins for Not Like Us. Although the viral track isn’t on his latest album, GNX, the 2024 LP still saw a 9% increase. Additionally, four of his other albums climbed in streams:
- Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers ⬆ 13%
- Good Kid, M.A.A.D City ⬆ 11%
- DAMN. & To Pimp a Butterfly ⬆ 9% each
- His recent Super Bowl performance, one of the most-watched in history, further amplified his impact.
Chappell Roan saw one of the largest album boosts following her Best New Artist win and theatrical performance of Pink Pony Club. Her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, surged 56%, while Pink Pony Club itself hit a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100, soaring to No. 18 after a 98% gain.
