Geo Week, the premier geospatial conference and tradeshow, convened a record-breaking 3,222 geospatial and mapping professionals from more than 3,600 registrants representing 49 countries at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, on Feb. 10-12, 2025. The sold-out exhibit hall was the largest in event history, featuring 215 exhibitors and continuing to cement Geo Week as the convergence point for geospatial and mapping professionals to explore how data, maps and advanced technologies can deepen our understanding of the world and inform solutions for complex challenges. The event also hosted World Lidar Day, a global holiday to recognize worldwide achievements in lidar.
“Year after year, Geo Week’s incredible growth is a testament to the continued evolution and expansion of geospatial technologies around the world. As industries experience rapid advancements in technology, Geo Week stands at the forefront of these changes. We are thrilled to be the leading event platform in North America to answer the demand for knowledge, networking opportunities and technology to make informed decisions and solve complex global challenges,” said Lee Corkhill, Group Event Director at Diversified, which produces the event. “We are honored to help accelerate geospatial growth and gather the industry to celebrate advancements each year and to connect, collaborate and explore the technologies transforming industries across the globe.”
The first day of the conference began with product previews, followed by two and a half days of extensive conference programming from speakers covering a range of content in geospatial technologies, digital workflows, cutting-edge reality capture, advanced lidar and more. All conference attendees additionally received expanded access to Geo Week and ASPRS-hosted sessions and a Reality Capture Network track, providing more valued content and insights. Industry leaders from top organizations shared their expertise on a range of topics covered extensively by Geo Week News.
Geo Week’s impactful keynote presentations provided invaluable insights into how geospatial technology is shaping industries and solving real-world challenges. Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport’s Digital Evolution highlighted how 3D visualization, AI/ML and event-driven architecture are transforming airport operations and solving critical use cases. On day two, Francis Scott Key Bridge: Rescue, Recovery, and Rebuild demonstrated how geospatial data plays a crucial role in disaster response and cross-agency collaboration in the aftermath of the bridge collapse.
The exhibit hall displayed best-in-class solutions from the most influential companies, allowing attendees to compare and source the latest geospatial innovations. Additionally, the Exhibit Hall Theater hosted live presentations from top technology providers, offering hands-on insights into cutting-edge product demos and case studies, and also featured a special panel celebrating World Lidar Day to recognize the power and progression of lidar.
Other special features included a Pitch the Press event, where the latest products from Mad Nadir Mapping, NOVI and Tersus GNSS were chosen from 16 presentations that were pitched rapid-fire to a panel of high-profile press representatives at Geo Week. These solutions represent the cutting edge in hardware, components and services.
ASPRS hosted an Academic Hub, highlighting university research from leading academic and research institutions, as well as Poster Sessions in the Future Leaders Hub, a new area on the exhibit hall floor dedicated to highlighting the next generation of geospatial professionals, fostering connections between students, educators and industry leaders. ASPRS also honored its annual awards and scholarship recipients, and Geo Week announced the first-ever Geo Empower Scholarship recipients.
Numerous networking events were held, including the Welcome Reception sponsored by Trimble, a Networking Happy Hour, a First-Time Attendee Meet-Up, a Workforce Development Speaker Q&A and more.
