Magic Johnson is thrilled that the LA Dodgers have made it to the World Series. The former NBA star, and part-owner of the Dodgers, has been very present for his team and very vocal on social media.
He never fails to recognize the efforts of of the team, including the players, the coach and the staff. “Congratulations to the Dodgers players, Manager Dave Roberts, the entire ownership group, and to all of Dodger Nation on beating the Mets and advancing to the World Series!!” he recently posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The Dodgers clinched their spot in the World Series by defeating the Mets (10-5) in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series at Dodger Stadium.

Johnson’s Dodgers are set for a showdown with the New York Yankees starting Friday, October 25, in Los Angeles. This matchup is is history in the making for the 11 time rivals! It’s been over 40 years since their last face-off in 1981, when the Dodgers took the crown. The Yankees have won eight of the previous 11, but this could be the year the Dodgers score the win.
