The 2023 Monaco Grand Prix turned from a tactical procession into chaos when rain drenched the streets midway through the race. Max Verstappen kept his composure amid the downpour, claiming a hard-fought win for Red Bull ahead of Fernando Alonso, who gave Aston Martin their fifth podium of the season.
The drama began on lap 51 when light rain escalated into a full storm, forcing pit lanes into a frenzy. Several drivers—including Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton—benefited from perfectly timed switches to intermediate tires, while Ferrari’s miscalculated strategy cost Charles Leclerc a chance at home glory.

With Alonso’s podium and Ocon’s surprise third for Alpine, Monaco proved once again that no race blends glamour and unpredictability quite like it.
